Zizek on Buddhism

Zizek has a constructive criticism on what he called western buddhism and the hedonistic way it functions in west. He claims that, It perfectly functions as a ideological supplement for the global capitalism. But we should note that, his notion of western buddhism largely influenced by Zen and Tibetan buddhism. From Theravada perspective, his argument on buddhist justification of war in this video is utter misconception. His example of great Zen teacher, Suzuki's teachings on advices to japanese military cannot be justify from Theravada perspective on any ground. Suzuki's justification of killing enemies more similar to the Purna Kassapa's, one of the six heretical teachers contemporaneous with the buddha, teachings than any sensible buddhist teachings. Apparently, Zizek considers teachings of such a misguided sect as authentic buddhism.
Apart from terrible hosting, M.I.A showed her intrinsic hatred of Sri Lanka and highlighted her pro LTTE propaganda. Her accusation of buddhist monks - there are some witnesses who said that monks who killed people with their own hands - is inevitably a false one. Unfortunately, it seems that, scholars like Zizek also accepts it.
